Sit back from the comfort of your own home (or office) and learn from our expert youth facilitators as they take you on a journey to enhance, inspire, and re-energise you. Our trainings have been developed by young people and are delivered with a unique energy, which will help fuel and challenge current thinking and ideas.

What is it like to grow up in care? Based on first-hand experiences, our youth facilitators speak openly about their experiences of growing up in care. Conversations will be kept creative- so have your felt tips at the ready! You will explore the importance of relationships, particularly drawing out the qualities and traits in people most valued by those in care. By the end of the session, you will feel confident and able to develop stronger relationships with the young people you’re caring for.

Let’s face it, it’s tough growing up, but it’s even tougher for young people who are growing up in care. Our youth facilitators will explore this deeper, as they help you to unpick some of the thoughts and feelings a young person may have when growing up in care. They will share with you their top tips for supporting the young people you care for; particularly focusing on well-being and selfcare. By the end of the session, you will leave with an enhanced understanding of transitions, confidentiality, permanence, and boundaries in relation to a young person’s mental health.

Leaving care isn’t easy, and for many young people, it can understandably bring up a whole range of emotions. Our youth facilitators explore some of the challenges they faced and the emotional support they valued or wished they had had when moving on. They will work with you to look at the practical support you can provide (think life skills; budget, rent and bills). By the end of the session, you will feel leave feeling inspired by their stories of courage, challenge, and hope. You will have an increased awareness as to the things you can do to make the transition in to leaving care that little bit easier for a young person.

The words we use in social care can make a child or young person feel empowered or invisible. This session explores the importance of language and the emotional impact words and labeling can have on a young person’s identity. Our youth facilitators will talk you through some of their preferred alternative words and phrases- all jargon free! You will leave the session feeling mindful around the terminology you use and confident to challenge the language used by others, as we move towards a language that really cares.
